This website is dedicated to the best bible study program ever created, ‘THE WORD Processor’ by Bible Research Systems. They were the first to pioneer the first Bible study software over 42 years ago.

Here is a glimpse. In the first software release in 1982, ‘THE WORD Processor’ was the sole and primary application. As the years progressed into the present and the evolution of the software versions, the original product transformed from a single ‘THE WORD Processor’ application into the ‘THE WORD Processor’ software suite containing the Verse Search application with its many add-ons to complement your study goals. Here are some examples:
1) Librarian – This add-on provides the ability to create your own study materials and documents that are stored into its library
2) Bible Maps – This add-on contains 20 maps that gives you the location of biblical events, nations & tribes, major cities, and mark the natural geography referenced in the Bible
3) Bible Outlines – This add-on provides an outline showing the structure of the content and marks the key points or concepts for each book in the Bible
4) Greek & Hebrew Transliterators – These add-ons assist you in the original word studies for the KJV & NIV bible translations
5) Additional study materials, such as Vine’s Expository Dictionary and Matthew Henry Concise Commentary–plus a number of others!
Whenever I tried to locate any information regarding ‘THE WORD Processor’ or ‘Verse Search’ software, the lack of any online information frustrated me; as well as, the lack of user forums or groups discussing using the software or related support. Hence, I started this web site with these goals in mind: (1) honor what Bible Research Systems produced, (2) provide a repository for fellow ‘VerseSearchers’ to come to for software and information, and, (3) hopefully, provide a forum for all Verse Search users to interact and grow together (a future project).
